Middlesbrough, located in the northeast of England, is a traditional industrial city with Teesside University at its center as the planned structure of the city.
This serie of photos captures Middlesbrough in a different light from the depression and coldness of the past. Large crowds of people gather at one of the market events to while away the rest of the weekend with the help of alcohol and fast food.
With the official announcement of the "end" of the covid-19 pandemic in the UK, this type of event is even more unknown and open for Middlesbrough and the surrounding towns.
The photographs also reveal the state of affairs between the inhabitants of a small British town and myself as a bystander, in an environment of epidemics and various international upheavals, where none of us knows what tomorrow holds. But it is a shift from tension to relief in the memory of past lives. It is also made up of fragile trust and bored daily life that flickers in and out of the camera.
